      It was beyond our dreams....
What hard work juliet and her team put in to everything. From the moment we booked until the moment she saw us off on honeymoon, nothing was too much trouble. We were all made to feel so relaxed and welcome and that doesn''t happen without a lot of legwork in the background. Hugely impressed!

Everything about the occassion was perfect...
Everything was perfect - the venue, the food, the staff, the setting - I can not fault anything. Juliet, the wedding co-ordinator is great - she understood exactly what my daughter wanted and made it happen. The photos I have seen so far are absolutley magical.

      Fabulous, Absolutly Fabulous!
Stunning venue, beautiful conference room, delicious food, wonderful service, fabulous bedrooms! And Juliet the wedding co-ordinator is wonderfull, she gets just as excited as you do and makes you feel like you're the best bride they've ever had through their doors! Nothing is too much trouble for them! Bit pricy but very much worth it!

A Romantic setting, an elegant, intimate hotel, wonderful food and exemplary service all make this an outstanding wedding venue.
Our daughter’s wedding in May 2008 at Buckland-Tout-Saints Hotel was absolutely perfect. No exaggeration – simply perfect. If you want a romantic venue for a non-religious civil ceremony followed by a wedding breakfast and celebrations, Buckland is the ideal location. The hotel is a beautiful, listed, William & Mary Manor House in its own extensive grounds. It’s friendly, relaxed and intimate while still creating a very classy impression. It’s fairly small, only 16 beautiful bedrooms, but that’s ideal as it makes it easy to fill all the rooms with your own guests. The ceremony was held in an elegant, oak-panelled room. The registrar was charming and happy for the bride and groom to make their own vows as well as the legal ones and there were readings and music too, so it felt as special as a church service without being religious, which was exactly what the bride and groom wanted. Canapés and welcome drinks were served outside immediately after the ceremony, so the guests were very happy to drink, eat and chat while photos were being taken. The wedding breakfast was in the Kestrel Suite, which looked great, with elegant furniture and table settings. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing too flashy, but well-presented and well-cooked with wonderful flavours. Afterwards, coffee was served on the terrace while the room was prepared for the evening party. The hotel staff were exemplary polite, attentive and friendly, in particular Juliet Kosta, the events manager, was charming and very efficient throughout the planning process and on the day. We have had many very complimentary letters from guests and several have said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. So, as I said…. perfect!

Beautiful location, stunning hotel, superb staff - all the ingredients for a perfect wedding
Where do we start - my husband and I had an amazing wedding at Bucklands – and we really do think it is the perfect location for a wedding. When first planning our wedding we looked at many locations in South Devon and Bucklands really stood out for many good reasons. It is a stunning, intimate hotel that is beautifully presented set in its own private valley offering wonderful views with only wildlife and sheep as background noise. This along with the extremely friendly & helpful hotel staff meant it wasn't long before we had booked Bucklands for our wedding. Juliet Kosta, the Events Manager, was a god-send throughout the planning process - nothing was too much trouble and nothing panicked or phased her and she was always on hand to give advice when we needed it. Fast-forward to the big day - it really is hard to sum up what a fantastic and special day we had. A big huge thanks must go to all the staff, who were extremely attentive, extraordinary polite and most importantly made sure the party went without a hitch and Juliet for all the small details – meeting me at the back entrance of the hotel on the morning of the wedding to smuggle me in, arranging my wedding dress before walking down the aisle, and handing my new husband and I glasses of champagne immediately after the ceremony. The chef must also be mentioned for his stunning food - how he cooked 80 fillet steaks to perfection I shall never know! In hindsight – would we choose it again? Absolutely – without doubt.

      Beautiful country house hotel
I hope I'm not tempting fate by reviewing our venue before the wedding, but based on our experience so far, Buckland is fantastic. It is tucked away down narrow, steep lanes in deepest South Devon so you can forget about arriving in a stretch limo! The house is immaculate, with a beautiful front lawn and gardens with fountain and terrace. Whenever we have visited the lawns are like putting greens and there is an abundance of flowers. The rooms are glorious, from the intimate panelled Queen Anne Restaurant to the light and bright Kestrel Suite. The bedrooms are everything you imagine from a superior country house hotel. Last time we visited there was a party still sitting down to lunch at 4pm which I think sums up the comfortable surroundings; they had been to a wedding there the previous week and all said it was the best wedding they had ever attended and could they come to ours too?! Julie, the Wedding Co-ordinator, is so helpful, and makes everything feel possible.
