A Romantic setting, an elegant, intimate hotel, wonderful food and exemplary service all make this an outstanding wedding venue.
Our daughter’s wedding in May 2008 at Buckland-Tout-Saints Hotel was absolutely perfect. No exaggeration – simply perfect. If you want a romantic venue for a non-religious civil ceremony followed by a wedding breakfast and celebrations, Buckland is the ideal location. The hotel is a beautiful, listed, William & Mary Manor House in its own extensive grounds. It’s friendly, relaxed and intimate while still creating a very classy impression. It’s fairly small, only 16 beautiful bedrooms, but that’s ideal as it makes it easy to fill all the rooms with your own guests. The ceremony was held in an elegant, oak-panelled room. The registrar was charming and happy for the bride and groom to make their own vows as well as the legal ones and there were readings and music too, so it felt as special as a church service without being religious, which was exactly what the bride and groom wanted. Canapés and welcome drinks were served outside immediately after the ceremony, so the guests were very happy to drink, eat and chat while photos were being taken. The wedding breakfast was in the Kestrel Suite, which looked great, with elegant furniture and table settings. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing too flashy, but well-presented and well-cooked with wonderful flavours. Afterwards, coffee was served on the terrace while the room was prepared for the evening party. The hotel staff were exemplary polite, attentive and friendly, in particular Juliet Kosta, the events manager, was charming and very efficient throughout the planning process and on the day. We have had many very complimentary letters from guests and several have said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. So, as I said…. perfect!
