Absolute Perfection
Following their engagement Alex and Caroline began making plans for their summer 2011 wedding; many ideas were discussed but on one thing they were positive - they wanted their reception at Blackbrook House. Following their initial meeting with Lavinia their minds were made up, Blackbrook House was the only place they wanted to go. Lavinia and Claire gave them all the help, support and guidance they could ask for. Their ideas and wishes were discussed for the most special day of their lives and no matter how many times they went to Blackbrook House or telephoned they were always given time, understanding and advice if they asked for it. They knew they were going to get the most wonderful day. When the day actually arrived they could not believe their eyes when they saw Blackbrook, the work and attention to detail was second to none, they knew it was going to be wonderful but it was well beyond their wildest dreams. The reception drinks table was a beautiful sight to welcome their guests and the dining room can only be described as truly magnificent. The delicious meal was served by efficient, helpful and very friendly staff. Following the meal the room was quickly transformed and made ready for a great party. Blackbrook House has an excellent reputation for producing magnificent events but Lavinia, Claire, Gary the Chef and all the staff produced a wedding that surpassed everyone's expectations; our guests had the most wonderful day with many saying they had never been to a wedding like it. Alex and Caroline both said it was the best day of their lives - an absolute fairy tale. Thank you Blackbrook for giving us all an absolutely perfect day, one we will never forget.

Not had our reception yet but had to rave about It
Wow. We're getting married in four weeks time and we cannot be more happy with the venue. Gary, the chef, has been incredible - custom made menu, based on what we like, and is always around to hand out a brownie or three! Lav is extremely patient and understands that it needs to be right and needs to be 'us'. We feel that we trust them to make our day special.... What more could we ask for?

What a Perfect Day
All the team at Blackbrook are fantastic, they all helped to create the most perfect, fantastic day. Everything was just as we dreamed it would be and more. Nothing is too much trouble for Lavinia and the team. The day was perfect and we wish we could do it all again. Lavinia, claire and Rachel and the rest of the Blackbrook team did an amazing job making our day so special to us, and we also feel we have made new friends and will stay in touch. Just perfect...
Lavinia, Claire and team made our day truly special...every detail was just perfect, from the details on the cocktail glasses to the homemade bread in the heart shaped basket. Blackbrook House really is a venue that thinks beyond the standard. I knew what I wanted, but after a chat with Lavinia and Claire lots of extra special details were suggested which made our day truly memorable. The food was amazing, their chef is truly talented! We chose a trio of starters, steak and jenga chipsand then a trio of deserts, delivious! Our little guests were given their own special menu, which went down extremely well! Everything was just how we wanted it to be. We have friends who are real foodies and they couldn't have complimented the meal more. Certainly not the 'usual' wedding menu standard, far from it! We were blessed with stunning weather, so after the ceremony guests enjoyed the terrace with a cocktail and nibbles. Our guests have commented how they would like to do it all over again...the perfect way to spend a spring afternoon and we agree! We've been to a couple of weddings since ours and they've only highlighted to us that we chose the perfect venue. Thanks Blackbrook x

Simply the Best
James and I had our wedding at Blackbrook on the 14th May, and all I can say is that it was the best day of our lives. The attention to detail, the efficiency, professionalism and friendliness of the staff is a credit to Lavinia, who was magnificent from start to finish. We will be returning to their events, as this will not only remind us of our day, but also allow us to continue to experience the wonderful food and superb hospitality. Thank you so much

Beautiful, Personal, Friendly, Professional
This was the first and only venue we went to see and we loved it from the second we saw it. Lavinia and the team pride themselves on creating the wedding experience that you want, tailoring everything to your requirements. The venue, the food and the people are all amazing and Lavinia and Clare helped make our day truly special. Lavinia is also a dab hand at getting food and wine stains out of wedding dresses - a skill that came in quite handy for us!!

Truely amazing beyond expectation
We feel very privaledged and proud to be able to say we got married at Blackbrook House. When you read the reviews you think they are too good to be true! But when you meet Lavinia and her team and start to plan your day, you begin to understand how great they really are, how supportive they are and how thier unending enthusiasm and professionalism enables you to create a wedding that is perfect for you. There was not one thing we would change, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Watching everyone work so happily and tirelessly to make everything perfect was extreemly humbling knowing that every little bit of effort was for us. Our wedding was beyond our wildest possible expectation in every way, it was truely amazing, a day we will never forget and all down to an incredible set of people we now call out friends.

Outstanding
We had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Blackbrook House in April this year. Lavinia, Clare and the whole team at Blackbrook House were absolutely amazing, they took care of everything, even down to moving the wedding ceremony outside due to the amazing weather. The biggest compliment I can pass on is that they became friends to the both of us during the planning process, nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to our visits back to Blackbrook to reminisce about the happiest day of our lives.

A perfect day for our Daughter
Seeing your daughter married is one of the most amazing moments of a Mothers life.You only ever want the very best for your little girl.Blackbrook gave us exactly that. We felt totally at ease. nothing was ever too much trouble, Lavinia and Claire took such an interest in the day and guideded us through in an unobtrusive and efficient way. It was fantastic. The ceremony room looked so lovely and opulant, the food will be talked about for a very long time. Many guests commented that it was the best wedding they have ever been to " a very classy day" We chose Blackbrook because we felt loved, and by the time we left we felt they were part of the family and almost felt guilty leaving them to clear up!! It truely was one of the most magical days of all of our lives and to spend it with such wonderful, professional, loving people was a privaledge.

A truly magical day
We got married here December 2010, we wanted a winter wedding and we certainly got one!!! Nearly didn’t happen due to copious snow!!! We initially went to visit the venue and immediately knew it was the right place it felt right and looked beautiful, we didn’t have to look anywhere else!!! Lavinia who helped us organise our wedding day was fantastic, friendly and caring, she was able to instinctively know what we wanted. We found the whole decision making of the day very easy with her expert support and advice. On the day everything was perfectly planned and organised, Lavinia and her staff made sure all our guests were made welcome and looked after. The day went beyond our expectations. The attention to detail made it very special. The rooms were beautifully presented where we got married, as was the reception room which was just stunning, even the photographer drew a breathe!!! The compliments from our guests were endless and we cannot praise the staff highly enough. The food was unique, beautifully presented and beyond delicious. We would highly recommend this venue Thank you for everything the whole experience was fabulous. It was a truly magical day and was everything we could have wished for and more. Perfect Venue Superb Staff
We were married at Blackbrook at the end of November. Everything went as smoothly and perfectly on the day as we could have possibly hoped. The staff at Blackbrook met and advised us at every step of the plannning and managed to make it a very stress free, friendly and happy process. Blackbrook's attention to detail was fantastic and the venue looked amazing on the day. All our guests commented on the quality of the venue and how friendly and welcoming the staff were (even remembering guests' names after only meeting them on arrival) and one of the big highlights for both us and our guests was the quality of the food, which was absolutely delicious. We had gone for a tapas style menu which Blackbrook hadn't done before but they were happy to accommodate our request. They also suggested desserts to accompany our mains which turned out to be amazing! We could not fault Blackbrook in any way and I wouldn't hesistate for a moment in strongly recommending the venue to anybody.

the absolute perfect venue
We got married at Blackbrook House in December.In the run up to the wedding we knew we could not find a more perfect venue. Lav, Rachel, Clare, Gary, (who made one of the best beef Stews ever)and the rest of the staff understood what we wanted and delivered. It was the worst snowfall I have ever seen in week leading upto the wedding, so bad that myself and Jen thought we might have to cancel. But no, Lav managed to organise a snow plow to clear all the snow from the road upto the house and the carpark which ensured all or guests made it up to the house. I honestly think if our wedding was held anywhere else we would have had to cancel. Lav and the staff moved mountains to ensure our wedding went ahead, and everyone at the house made it such a special day. Thanks.. (sorry for the snow angels guys :)) One last thing... From what we have experienced, the staff at Blackbrook do actually care about your wedding day and what you want, and deliver the most perfect service we have experienced. We will defo be celebrating our anniversary here, and cant wait.
