Located in beautiful English Lake District the Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel and Spa is set in one of the most stunning locations overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake with the Skiddaw mountain as backdrop. From the delicate scents and scenery of a budding spring to the glory of a Lakeland summer, from the rich auburns and golds of autumn to the majesty of snow capped winter fells and mountains nowhere offers such a romantic setting. This striking 17th century former stately home could not be any more special whatever the season.

Armathwaite Hall Country House Hotel & Spa features four approved rooms for ceremonies each individual in design and offering flexibility of numbers from intimate to large gatherings, from 4 guests to 150 guests. The Hall was amongst the first premises to become licensed in Cumbria to hold Civil Ceremonies and since this time has hosted several hundred such events. Civil Ceremonies allow couples to marry in this beautiful stately home.

      The Perfect Day
      We got married there July 2006. The setting is beautiful and the hall itself offers a gorgeous setting for the best day of your life. The staff were very helpful and very organised, the food was exquisite. All our guests were very impressed and said it was the best wedding they''d been to. It truely was the perfect day.

      Nothing to say except the venue is magical and there is no other place to hold your wedding. Every detail is perfect. The most romantic place in the world. We did not want to leave and go to our honeymoon destination of Jamaica, it was so PEFRECT

      A beautiful, romantic venue. Perfect for the most important and special of of your life
      A beautiful family run hotel with an abundance of charm and character. A stunning setting on Bassenthwaite Lake, near Keswick in acres and acres of parkland. Excellent facilities. Menu is out of this world - you can eat whatever you so desire - the chef is fantastic. The wedding co-ordinators are gretat and the day went prfectly from start to finish. A completely stunning and luxurious Hartley Tower suite is worth everypennt of the £500 it is for two nights stay inclusive of a six course meal on the second night. A perfect hotel in a perfect setting. No negative feedback at all. The one and only place to have a wedding
