Once the Headquarters of Royal Army Medical Corps and officer’s mess, 45 Millbank opened as an events venue in 2007.  Just steps away from the Tate Britain, with views across the Thames, this Grade II Listed Georgian Building has restored Edwardian interiors with opulent panelling, swagged carvings and exquisite stuccowork across three rooms. It retains many of its original features, including the elegant marbled floor entrance and noble staircase, this being the main focus leading to the reception rooms.

Licensed for both civil ceremonies and civil partnerships, 45 Millbank offers a truly unique and exclusive environment for both your ceremony and celebration afterwards.   Its two principal rooms, the Red Room and Banqueting Hall are both licensed by Westminster City Council and provide the perfectly elegant backdrop for your important occasion.

In addition to excellent internal spaces, 45 Millbank also benefits from having a beautiful walled ornamental garden and a Portland stone paved courtyard with a Henry Moore Sculpture set in the middle of it.   Both provide the perfect ingredients for a summer drinks reception or stunning locations for photo or film shoots of your special day. 

45 Millbank also manages the superb Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground.  The Parade Ground is a large square surrounded on three sides by buildings occupied by Chelsea College of Art and Design, with the fourth side opening directly onto Atterbury Street.  It is a most extraordinary space, not just for its vastness – 3500 square metres, but also because it is in a unique location of being set right in the heart of Westminster.  

Due to its scale and location, the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground has enormous potential for hosting large-scale events. This newly refurbished outdoor space is now available to hire and can accommodate a marquee for up to 1000 people.  With power, water, wifi services and anchor fixing points for marquees the parade ground is the ideal location to hold specialist events.

45 Millbank works operates an approved suppliers list of caterers', florists, entertainment and production companies.  The rooms are available to hire on a daily basis, alternatively you may wish to hire the venue for an exclusive reception at weekends or on Bank Holidays.
