Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for being here to celebrate Chris and Kristy's very special day. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Catherine. No one knows Kristy longer than I do—I've known her since we met in my mother's womb! Yes, we are twins! So, I think this qualifies me for being the ‘Maid of Honor’ tonight.

First of all, congratulations to the new couple, Chris and Kristy! You look radiant today! I can see the happiness written all over your faces! And Kristy, I've never seen you look so beautiful!!!

As Kristy's twin sister, I've had the opportunity to watch her grow and evolve into the wonderful woman she is today. When I look back on our childhood adventures, there were so many fond memories. When we were 5 years-old, and had just learned how to scratch matches, we were eager to practice our new skill. And there was nothing more satisfying than seeing the flame erupt from the match, and then watch it burn things into ashes. So what should we burn? Kristy, using her superb Communication and Negotiation skill, persuaded the Boy next door to grab his parents’ books, bring them over, and page by page, we burnt them all! Since then, Kristy and I were banned from his house. So Chris, be aware that your girl likes kindling the fire, and make sure you can handle it!

Aside from loving to kindle the fire, Kristy is also kind and caring. In addition, she puts thoughts, effort, and dedication into everything she does. Chris, I know Kristy will embrace her new role as your wife in the same way, and infuse the marriage with love, respect, and trust.  Since meeting Chris last year, Kristy's life has been truly transformed from Good to Great. Chris has this amazing ability to balance work and life, and this allowed for frequent fun times, which soon led to romance.

Perhaps the trails in Central Park are the best witnesses for their blossoming romance. On my smartphone, I still have tons of videos of the “Political Trio” enjoying a lazy Sunday morning in the park. For those who are puzzled, let me explain – the formidable political trio refers to – Chris-Kristy (Not the New Jersey Governor, but rather, our gorgeous couple), Bloomberg (not the former New York Mayor! But rather, Kristy's Shih Tzu puppy), and Henry (not Henry the 8th, former King of England! But rather, Chris's furry friend.) Watching Henry and Bloomberg exuberantly chasing each other along with Chris and Kristy, I see pure joy and happiness. I have no doubt that the two furry friends will give this Chris-Kristy union 4 paws up!

My husband and I first met Chris when he and Kristy came to visit us in Houston last Christmas. Our impression of Chris was that he was a very approachable, fun, and easy-going person. We had heard about his superb culinary skills, but he really took us by surprise when he cooked a very authentic Chinese Sichuan peppercorn shrimp meal. Seeing Kristy by Chris’ side in the kitchen brimming with joy, and together creating something special, I knew at that moment, that Kristy had finally met her soul mate. I trust that our Master Chef Chris not only knows how to make a sweet apple pie, but also how to make lemonade when life throws you lemons!

Chris, I can't thank you enough for making Kristy feel so complete. I can rest assured now, knowing that my dear sister is with a smart, loving, and compassionate man. I feel blessed that you have found each other.

Dale Carnegie said “Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.” By this definition, you both have success already. I wish your happiness continues to grow by wanting each other more and more with each passing day!

And finally, I'd like to borrow a verse from Kristy's favorite musical: “Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime Say the word and I will follow you Share each day with me, each night, each morning Love me, that's all I ask of you.”

Everyone, would you please be upstanding, and raise your glass to toast the new couple. To Chris and Kristy, One Love, One Lifetime!
