Well how do you beat that? What fantastic words John, thank you….… Neil, all I can say is – I hope its good.

OKAY – Here goes – I have several thankyous to give out..But before I ramble ,I must turn your attention to the Disposable Cameras on each table, please feel free to take photographs throughout he day, paying special attention to using them early on, as I'm sure you won't be able to focus later on as the drinks start to flow. Oh and lads no moonies mate. Oh a elephants and fruit bowls are out of scope too.

I like to start my speech as I mean to go on, and say a big thanks for you all turning up today, your for generosity and kind word and wishes . So on behalf of the new Weds, or My wife and I …My word, my wife WOW. I know this is to be our special day but I would n't be the same without or special friends and our family. SO again a warm thank you.

John thankyou very much for allowing me to marry your wonderful daughter, Pam, you must agree she looks so fantastic today (which I'll come onto in a mo) A magical day, made more magical by the way in which she looks to day, a princess all mine. I remember asking John if I could take Pams hand in marriage, I pretended that I had a problem with my car tyre to get John outside, we even went through the motions of discussing my tyre that wasn't really bald. From there (the next day) off we went to Grenada, where after 7 days I managed to find opportunity to pop the question, and beautiful evening, a sunset on the beach, fizzy wine in toe. But unfortunately Pam went down ill. So I had to reverse all my set plans. But it turned out that I had managed to lock my bag of tricks in the janitors cupboard. Hey – The best laid plans eh! Anyway after several hours of negotiations about why I had even put it in there, they retrieved it. AND the next day, round two, and a similar night . SUCCESS the YES. So I'd like to to tell you how much I think you are the best women in the world and that I love you more than I can say – we are perfect. KISS.

This perfection has to be something down to two things. Pam parents for their upbringing of their lovely daughter, and for my parents for bringing me up in such a way that I have good taste. Thankyou.

Which bring me nicely onto Parents. Pam MUM. The mother in law. WOW. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't her Sheila. A project manager, a negotiator, and crafts women –An out and out wedding planner . All the stationary and organisation that has gone into today, something that Pam and myself are so happy with . And Sheila staff must be applauded too – Naomi, and John a special thanks for all your hard work – Sheer Brilliance. And special thanks from me for excepting me into your family and making me as welcome as you have.

Now to Mum and Dad Kear. Thankyou for everything. Where can I start. All the way through my life I have had everything, I wouldn't have had anything any differently (you don't often have opportunity to get through general thanks so when I have my one chance I'm going to get my thanks in. ) Remember the financial side of University, you don't know how much it means to me. (that's to you Grandad too)

The bridesmaids – How well do these Women and girls look – I think pretty damm good (Hands off Neil) Thankyou for a job well done so far, and for the rest of the day. Many thanks. You've all been brilliant.

And Dad, Viv and Joan . – Two words. Great Cake. Not sure how you guys do it, you must have so much patience and skill to do such a work of Art (And boque of flowers each) Give them it. Thanksyou

And Mr Julian himslef…Our Page boy…and Paul and Jaz for their hard work this morning, (And Pete too) You have done another great job well done

And lastly they say being the best man can be compared to Snogging the Queen, its an honour but nobody wants to do it!! Thanks very much for organsiing my stag which I am told I enjoyed very much.

Oh whlist I'm talking about the Best Man I should mention that Neil suffers from a rare medical condition that affects his imagination. He often invents the most fanciful stories that he sincerely believes to be true.

I hope you bear this in mind when he stands up to speak in a few moments, but before he does, may a raise a toast to our lovely Birdesmaids.. A happy Bridesmaid makes a happy Bride…..So…To the Happy Bridesmaids..

Lady's and Gentleman …Over to my lovely I wife.
