For those of you looking for something different, a honeymoon in Oman in the Middle East has it all. Base yourselves in a luxury marbled hotel with mosaic floors by a pristine white beach, and explore the islands citrus and coconut groves, bustling markets selling silver, textiles and perfume and over 500 desert forts. Have a go at 'Wadi-Bashing', a popular activity of driving along river beds in a 4WD vehicle, which is great fun and a quirky way in which to see the country.

Also in the Middle East, Dubai is a city full of luxury. October still has amazing weather but unlike the summer months it is not too hot. Stay in one of the super deluxe hotels either on the coast or inner city and take advantage of the tax- free shops. A nearby water park, golf course and the chance to go dune driving and wadi-bashing will keep you thoroughly entertained. Take a walk past the many stunning mosques, historical sights and wind your way through the market stalls in the covered souks to add a blast of culture to your lavish stay.

Kenya, in October has the advantage of great weather being the end of spring, moving in to summer. Take a safari through the stunning Masai Mara and view many species of wildlife including elephants, lions, Rhinos and many an Impala in their natural habitat. The coast is lined with beautiful beaches so what a better way to finish off your African honeymoon than in a beach hotel on the edge of the India Ocean.

The beaches of Mozambique are also stunning and provide a simply relaxing African honeymoon. Step from your luxury beach front hotel and swim or snorkel in the warm blue sea. Relish in the sumptuous fresh seafood, cooked for you on a beach barbeque and watch the sun set over the sea from your hotel terrace.

Mauritius, over 1000 miles off the east coast of Africa, is a stunning island full of magical beaches and scenery with a variety of accommodation to chose from be it a beach front resort, town centre boutique hotel or a luxurious spa retreat. October sees an average temperature of 24-26°C and one of the months with the lowest change of rainfall all year round.

If the pyramids and ruins of Mayan culture and the thought of stunning beaches and a vibrant nightlife is your idea of heaven, then Mexico is the place for you. The most popular resorts line the coast of Mexico's southern tip, many of which offer all-inclusive food & drinks and many water sports & activities.
