For honeymoons in January the far east has great weather. In particular thailand's island and beach destinations enable you to simply relax on the golden sands and enjoy a Thai massage or take advantage of the great scuba diving opportunities. The island of Phuket has options from luxury hotels to thatched huts a few steps from the palm fringed beach. The bustling fishing port of Hua-Hin, on the mainland, is home to an 18-hole golf course, night market and The Old Palace. For a quieter beach resort, Cha-am boasts no nightlife or bright lights for a peaceful get away.
If you have got a bit more budget then in January the islands of the Caribbean and Bahamas are fantastic. They immediately create images of white sandy beaches, clear blue seas and coral reefs. Enjoy Antigua's colourful markets and colonial buildings or sit back on relax on a chartered yacht. Turks & Caicos offer uncrowded beaches with fantastic opportunities for fishing and snorkeling. Barbados is a lively island with water sports, amazingly scenic golf courses and lively carnivals. Of course the option to relax in a spa and watch a stunning sunset from the beach is always there at the end of the day. Jamaica, famous for its Blue Rock river crocodile spotting and Blue Mountain coffee, entices honeymooners with its stunning sunsets of vibrant reds and orange, viewed from it's white sand beaches with palm trees lining every beach.
You may also consider the Indian Ocean which is home to tropical paradises such as the Maldives and Mauritius. With endless miles of white sand beaches and clear blue waters, the islands present a previously dreamed of paradise. In Mauritius you can go on amazing trips in to the mountains, go deep sea fishing and immerse yourself in spice & tea markets.
