One of the many highlights at a winter wedding is the food. The colder temperatures and cosy atmosphere give you the opportunity to indulge your guests with a rich, satisfyingly seasonal menu, full of colour, flavour and fragrance.

We asked three leading chefs to share their dream menus for the perfect winter wedding.

In addition to Winter Pimms and mulled wine, these three delicious winter cocktail recipes will go down a storm with your guests:

Winter Berry Mojito (Paul E. Lee)

  1. 1 - Muddle crushed cranberries and mint leaves
  2. 2 - Mix a measure of gold rum with fresh-squeezed lime juice and a sprinkling of sugar
  3. 3 - Add a dash of soda water and serve

Tanqueray Almond (Ian Howell)

  1. 1 - In a snifter (brandy glass) add a measure of Tanqueray London Dry gin, a half measure of almond liqueur and a splash of bitters over ice
  2. 2 - Mix in a dash of sour mix and stir
  3. 3 - Garnish with maraschino cherries and serve

Polar Bear (David McLaughlin)

  1. 1 - Gently heat the same measure of milk and double cream to near boiling
  2. 2 - Add lots of white chocolate and Kahlua and warm through until the chocolate melts
  3. 3 - Whip up some cream and pipe on top
  4. 4 - Sprinkle with grated milk chocolate and serve
