Is your dress new or borrowed? It may be your sisters or even your mothers. To commemorate your big day why not tuck away a little reminder to future generations. Buy a small piece of sturdy silk ribbon. Have it monogrammed with the bride’s monogram or the couple’s initials and the wedding date. This small piece of ribbon can be pale blue with white lettering or cream with pale blue writing. Tack the piece of ribbon to the inside of the dress, bodice or train. The use of blue will take care of that little ". . .something blue" that can be so difficult to find. If the dress was your mothers or other family member, take this time to have a small ribbon made up and sewn in the dress to commemorate her wedding day. This is a special way to preserve the history of the dress for future generations who wear your dress.
