What does the wedding package include?
A no-obligation initial consultation meeting; a further pre-wedding meeting prior to the wedding to discuss your day in detail; a blend of traditional formal, contemporary natural and candid/reportage photography; each image processed, colour-corrected and enhanced to a high professional standard; a bespoke USB flash drive containing your images; a set of full high-resolution images, free of watermarks, with full personal usage rights; a set of low-resolution images optimised for emails, internet, and sharing an online password-protected gallery of all your photographs, with integrated print ordering service at Cost Plus pricing.
How far in advance should I contact you?
Usually couples book a year in advance, but I've had couples book two years prior. On the other hand I'm also available at short notice (I'm a full time wedding photographer), so just get in touch and check my availability for your date.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
I've never done so in the past, but if it's ceremony-only morning and then afternoon, it's theoretically possible. But most couples book me for the whole day.
Are you able to travel?
I have covered weddings all over the South and Central UK, and from East to West, Essex to Berks. Get in touch to check if I can cover your area. Logistically, if you are based near me usually, and getting married further afield, then it's easier to arrange, but nothing is out of the question.
What is the charge for travelling?
Local travel is included, but beyond that, travel is charged at petrol cost only.
What style of photos do you take?
My award winning style incorporates a blend of traditional formal, contemporary natural and candid/reportage photography.
What kind of technology do you use?
I have a full range of professional camera kit including lighting and a full suite of backup kit to cover any eventuality.
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I try to be as discrete and natural as possible, but the majority of my couples are not models, in which case a bit of direction is usually provided to help you look your absolute best without over-posing.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use 2x Sony Alpha full frame cameras coupled with the best Carl Zeiss prime lenses and Westcott lighting.
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
An online password-protected gallery is provided to all of my couples, as well as an easy bespoke mobile app access.
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
Your photos are usually ready to view online within 4 weeks. Album design and production takes around 2-3 weeks.
Do you send all the photos taken?
A final set of images will be delivered to you that tells the story of your day. Obviously, out-takes and duplicates will not be included!
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
I work on my own but I am a member of and backed by a professional nationwide photographer's guild. However, I can provide extra support if required depending on the circumstances (additional fees may apply).
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
Being part of a nationwide network of professional photographers means that should the worst happen, there is a high chance of someone else being able to step-in. Those independent photographers not part of a body may find such a situation much more tricky or leave the couples with a big problem.
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
This country's copyright law assigns rights to the photographer, which allows publication and display online. Couples are then given full personal usage rights to their photos. This is made clear when signing at the booking stage. If you are particularly against your photos appearing online, then that is fine also.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
A personal quote is provided to each couple once their requirements and coverage are discussed. This is agreed upon by all parties at the beginning so there are no hidden charges to the couple.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Should things run late beyond our control, a pro rata fee is charged for anything over and above what was agreed and quoted for.
What are the forms of payment?
A bank transfer is preferred. Not only is if fast, free, and convenient, there is also an electronic trail. A receipt is additionally provided for each payment received.
