I'd visited a few stores and tried on a lot of dresses, but never felt 100% committed to any. I met Helen & Sophie at a wedding fair, where I found myself spilling my insecurities and how I'd felt at other shops. Their kindness and friendliness made me book an appointment, gently encouraged by my partner, and so I made the trip from Plymouth with no expectations and a lot of nerves. Well, what a waste of time my feelings were!! Helen and Sophie are lovely, friendly and, more importantly, honest about how you look in the dress (without being rude!) What makes this beautiful boutique different to the others is that a good selection of dresses are in normal sizes, that can be (and are) pinned and tweaked when trying on so that you can actually see what you look like...I was no longer fat, frumpy and old in an ill-fitting dress! I found 'The One', which didn't cost a ridiculous amount of money (roughly £700 less than most dresses I've been looking at). I felt like a princess and Helen was the absolute fairy godmother!

What can I say, Jenny was just the most incredible, caring and attentive lady I've ever met, from the start of my dress finding journey, to the final fitting and picking up of my dress, I have never so looked after, I didn't just find my dress, I made a friend, Jenny thank you so much for all of your help and support and helping me to find the wedding dress of my dreams

Amy was just amazing! Through a conversation with her and picking some dresses to try and talking through those, Amy found my dress. She is so knowledgeable, kind and understanding and the whole experience was perfect! I cannot thank Amy enough for her amazing hard work! She also had some great recommendations for seamstresses!

5 stars for bridal beauty, you can’t beat one of the ladies running it who held my appointment today. I found the most stunning dress! Nothing is too much trouble, they are kind, welcoming and don’t put any pressure on you at all which I did feel in other wedding dress shops. Made it a lovely experience :-)

I am so glad I chose Cathy to come to Millbrook estate to do my bridal hair and makeup up. Such a lovely lady who put me at ease and chatted away to me about all sorts of things helping me to relax. I was delighted with my natural hair and makeup. Cathy always responded to my messages in the lead up to our wedding. My husband Lee said I looked gorgeous that was good enough for me ! X
