I'm so glad I found Unveil through Hitched. The duo behind Unveil are welcoming, down to earth and simply fabulous. Unveil has a large collection of wedding dresses + all the accessories, shoes and jewellery a bride to be needs under one roof (save you shopping around etc). I had a small budget for my dress and they were able to accommodate me. I found a dresa or rather the dress found me...and it's beautiful. THANK YOU Unveil! I was incredibly indecisive when it came to my wedding dress. I had so many different ideas, and I wasn’t quite sure what would work for me and what wouldn’t or even what I wanted. It felt quite overwhelming and almost impossible to figure out, until I met Allessandria. Working alongside her was a truly unique and beautiful experience. Her knowledge, creative mind, and attention to detail are unparalleled. She took the time to understand me, my vision (even when I didn’t fully know it myself). Thank you Allessandria, for making the dress of my dreams and for being such a beautiful part of my wedding journey.

Her expertise is evident from the start. At no point did we feel any pressure to buy, the atmosphere was relaxed, natural, and completely focused on finding the perfect dress. I was so nervous about trying in dresses. Im a plus size curvy women and have been through a tough time with weight loss, after loosing over 6 stone I wanted to show everyone what I had achieved. I originally want a dress tight fitted (mermaid or fish tail) but with sleeves to hide my loose skin but show my new figure. But trying these one I did not look how I expected. After 4 or 5 dresses I started to feel deflated and wanted to hide away. But Nickie and Sarah asked if I would trust them to pick some dresses for me, and I'm so glad I did trust them after another 2 dresses they found me the dress of my dreams, I looked in the mirror and I couldn't speak, happy tears appeared and I just could not believe the women I was looking at was me, the dress was incredible and it showed every ounce of what I had worked si hard for and for the first time I looked in the mirror and loved the women I seen. I genuinely from the bottom of my heart I can't thank Rookery enough for finding me the perfect dress, for their patience and for making me look beautiful. I would recommend Sarah and her team always.

I had the most incredible experience at Sassi Holford Somerset! Since the age of 7, I had walked past the shop in Taunton with my mum and dreamt of one day wearing one of their beautiful gowns on my wedding day, and my dream well and truly came true! Lucy was the stylist who helped me pick out my dress at my first appointment. Her knowledge is second to none, and I was made to feel so special and welcome. I also had a couple of appointments with Kristine, who is just as wonderful as Lucy is! Lucy and Kristine were also so helpful when it came to picking a veil to go with my dress - their expertise and advice was so welcome, because I had no idea where to start! I asked advice on all kinds of things from accessories to shoes to hairstyles to underwear, and each and every time I received the best advice. All of the dresses that I tried on were gorgeous. Sassi Holford really understands the female form, and designs gowns that flatter and accentuate your best features - I always felt like I was wearing the dress, the dress was never wearing me. All the materials are carefully selected, and of top quality. Once I had settled on a dress (Mia), I was so well looked after, and kept in the loop throughout the entire process. Emily, the seamstress who does the final tweaks and alterations once your gown has been made, is awesome - I really felt like I was in safe hands with her, and I had full confidence that she would ensure that my dress would fit like a glove on my wedding day, which it did! She even stitched a silver sixpence (that I provided) into my dress at my request, as well as an adorable blue satin bow. She is a miracle worker - I had to cancel my initial final fitting appointment due to contracting Covid, and by the time I was able to come in for the appointment, she only had a 48 hour window to work with, but she managed it! The aftercare and advice you are given when you go to collect your dress ready for the big day is also great! From an emergency kit to have on the day, to recommending a specialist dry cleaner, all bases are covered! And emails are always replied to quickly and in a very friendly manner. From start to finish, I cannot fault the service that these three ladies provided to me (as well as my mum, sister, nan and mother in law, who all accompanied me to appointments at various stages) - they are all superstars! And the dress was the stuff of dreams - it was like it had been designed with me specifically in mind! I felt like royalty on my wedding day, and had so many compliments from my family and friends. It was well made from the best quality materials, and the attention to detail (the lace, the buttons, the train, the underskirts) was incredible. I love how it was made locally in Taunton too. Meeting Sassi herself at my first appointment was the cherry on top of the cake. Thank you, Lucy, Kristie and Emily (and everyone behind the scenes), for making my wedding dress dreams come true. I will be forever grateful.

I'd visited a few stores and tried on a lot of dresses, but never felt 100% committed to any. I met Helen & Sophie at a wedding fair, where I found myself spilling my insecurities and how I'd felt at other shops. Their kindness and friendliness made me book an appointment, gently encouraged by my partner, and so I made the trip from Plymouth with no expectations and a lot of nerves. Well, what a waste of time my feelings were!! Helen and Sophie are lovely, friendly and, more importantly, honest about how you look in the dress (without being rude!) What makes this beautiful boutique different to the others is that a good selection of dresses are in normal sizes, that can be (and are) pinned and tweaked when trying on so that you can actually see what you look like...I was no longer fat, frumpy and old in an ill-fitting dress! I found 'The One', which didn't cost a ridiculous amount of money (roughly £700 less than most dresses I've been looking at). I felt like a princess and Helen was the absolute fairy godmother!

Lowen Bridal was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad I listened to her! The whole experience was wonderful. Sam (the owner) made me feel so welcome. She took her time and was very patient with me (especially seeing as I had no idea what dress I wanted!). I must have tried on half the shop, and I eventually chose the very last dress I tried on! Sam was really friendly and kind and we bonded immediately. I very nearly cried when I picked my dress up and said goodbye to her at the end! Julie (the seamstress) was incredible. She is a very talented person and altered my dress to fit me beautifully. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone looking for their perfect dress!
