We're currently looking for great people to fill the following roles:

Junior Web Designer

Contract: Full Time / Permanent  |   Salary: P.O.A  |   Location: Camberley, UK

We want to help wedding planning couples realise their perfect wedding and create a service that people love to use. We believe wedding planning should be easily accessible and that having all the elements to achieve this in one place will make this possible.

About this Job

We are looking for a talented designer with an eye for fantastic design to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects including website concepts, online marketing & campaigns, and design for print, branding and identity. You will be working from the concept stage all the way through to providing the finished artwork alongside a team of designers and web developers.

It's an exciting and varied role. You will get to create great looking email newsletters and one-off email campaigns, design and build beautiful flash advertising, work closely with the sales team to provide support, printed material and to maintain our brand externally.

This is a great opportunity for you to establish a design career, build a diverse portfolio and learn invaluable professional and personal skills in a fast moving online business.

We are looking for someone with:

  • fantastic design skills
  • good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
  • an understanding of user centred design
  • excellent skills in HTML & CSS
  • a passion for the web!

Other skills that may help:

  • experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Flash particularly)
  • experience with jQuery
  • understanding of current web design trends

Web Design Placement/Internship

Contract: Fixed term / flexible internship  |   Salary: P.O.A  |   Location: Camberley, UK

Assistant Site Editor

Contract: Paid Internship  |  Salary: £13k p.a.  |  Location: Surrey, UK

An assistant position to our busy site editor has risen in one of the UK's leading online wedding related companies. Whilst the primary focus of the role will be on the continued support to the editor throughout most areas of the website, there will be various other areas that the individual will be required and allowed to focus upon therefore allowing for the individuals ongoing personal development.

About this Job

The traffic on the website is generated by our team constantly updating and refreshing its content. The role of the site editor is to ensure that specific areas of the site, including the all important homepage, real weddings, speeches, inspiration galleries, blogs, competitions page, newsletters, social media and members areas are up to date and current at all times. You may also be asked to help with the creation of copy for magazine columns and articles as well as other features that may crop up from time to time. This specific role will be a major support for the site editor, covering everything editorial on hitched.co.uk and our sister websites throughout the world.

Daily tasks may include proof reading, uploading images, researching, planning, chasing information via email and being a general support to the editor of this thriving and developing wedding website.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Highly motivated individual who have a proven ability to manage his/her own time and take direction confidently.
  • Experience with in an editorial team is desirable.
  • The selected individual will, above all be friendly, fun and enthusiastic.
  • Academically educated to a high level, preferably on the media side of things.
  • An excellent understanding of computers is essential
