The bride wore an ivory dress covered in delicate lace, with sequins and intricate beading designed to catch the light and shimmer.
Yvonne’s Romantica wedding dress had an A-line shape and a sweetheart neckline, with a scalloped hem. The dress was shortened for Yvonne and she was adamant she wanted the excess fabric to be used to create wide shoulder straps. However the staff at Celebrations talked her out of it and she was so glad she did.
After visiting five different dress shops and trying on lots of different dresses, Yvonne was starting to lose hope that she’d ever find a dream dress that was within budget. As soon as she tried on the Romantica gown, she loved how light it felt, the lace detail and the subtle sparkle – she knew it was the one.
She bought a diamante and crystal jewellery set and a sparkly tiara online, before borrowing one of her mum’s 18k Chinese gold bracelets. Yvonne’s wedding veil was elbow length and featured a satin trim and Swarovski crystals.
The final finishing touch was a traditional red Chinese rosette which was adorned with gold lettering featuring the Chinese wedding symbol ‘Double Happiness’. The rosette was a real talking point – lots of the guests asked about it and admired it on the day.
