Yvette and Andrew’s love story began back in 2001 – he was a farmer and a regular at the pub where Yvette was working.
The pair grew closer and closer and soon realised that what they had was something special, especially as Yvette and Andrew both served as each other’s rock when times got tough.
During their 11th year of being together, things were already wonderful but Yvette decided that she wanted to take things onto the next big step – so she planned a leap year proposal!
Whilst away on holiday, Yvette surprised Andrew on the last day by presenting him with a small glass paperweight engraved with the words ‘marry me’.
Andrew was lost for words at this incredibly romantic proposal, but just about managed to utter the words ‘of course I will’ to a teary and emotional Yvette!
The journey to the aisle was not a smooth one however, as tragedy struck during their engagement when Andrew was severely injured by a bull at a cattle auction.
Although he was very lucky to have survived the attack, Andrew sustained long term injuries as a result and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue.
It was a very tough three years following their engagement, but the couple remained strong despite all odds and vowed to plan their wedding so that they had something positive and exciting to look forward to.
And Yvette and Andrew’s wedding certainly was the beautiful celebration that they deserved after all that they had been through.
They tied the knot at the Linthwaite House Hotel in the Lake District in front of their closest friends and family, opting for a gorgeous vintage vibe throughout their ceremony and reception.
