In the evening, Dennis and Stephanie cut into a chocolate wedding cake decorated with shimmering gold hoops which they got from Marks and Spencer’s. Stephanie had spotted it in a wedding magazine and loved it instantly as it was chocolate and matched their theme perfectly.
She had two little fabric mice custom made to be the adorable cake topper – their outfits were inspired by what the couple actually wore for their wedding.
The guests all enjoyed slices on the cake on the evening on the wedding. There was also a guest appearance by Jools Holland! He arrived by helicopter as a guest of the main house but was around for a few guests to have pictures taken with him.
After the beautifully rustic autumn wedding, Dennis and Stephanie spent a week in Sri Lanka, where a guide took them around and they saw so many different places and landmarks. They spent the second week of their honeymoon relaxing in Goa, which was sheer bliss.
They’d never been further than Europe before so they were so excited and it was a real adventure – the perfect way to start life as husband and wife.
