They chose the Lower Chapel at Eton College to have their religious ceremony in along with 70 day guests.
Sophie was walked down the aisle to the traditional bridal march played by organ with her brother who gave her away, closely followed by her bridesmaids and flower girls who followed behind.
The ceremony lasted around 40 minutes in the beautiful chapel and Sophie and Carl chose two readings read by the best man’s wife and their sister in law.
One of the readings was religous and the other non-religious.
The second reading was something that Carl came across when reading the book ‘The Bridge Across Forever’ by Richard Bach.
During the ceremony as the hymns were being sung, the vicar slightly lost his way causing the couple to start laughing at the altar.
Sophie and Carl were in fits of giggles having the time of their lives in their own little world which most likely left guests rather confused, but it was one of their most memorable parts of the ceremony all together!
They chose Ernest Jones jewellers to purchase their all-important wedding rings from and exchanged them along with their vows and became man and wife.
