Sarah and Mark became husband and wife in a civil ceremony at Coed-Y-Mwstwr. Their ceremony was very personal to them and full of happiness and laughter.
They’d hired a string quartet for the ceremony and drinks reception, but didn’t want classical music. Instead, the quartet placed ‘Now We Are Free’ from Gladiator as Sarah and her dad walked down the aisle.
The bride chose a simple bouquet of white calla lilies to go with her dress. These were arranged by Cariad Designs.
During the ceremony there were three readings. Sarah picked ‘The Owl & The Pussycat’ as it reminded her of her mum, and asked a confident friend to read it out. He had everyone in stitches by the way he read it, and the videographers perfectly captured the moment.
Sarah’s wedding ring came from Goldsmiths, and the couple got a bargain by using Tesco Clubcard vouchers towards it! Mark opted for a simple silver ring, as he wasn’t sure about wearing jewellery, but plans to upgrade it on their five year wedding anniversary as he doesn’t want to be without it!
