Samantha and Silvia met on an online dating site and had been together for 18 months before they got engaged. Samantha lived in the UK and Silvia was living in New Zealand, so the proposal took place over Skype! Samantha proposed, and the couple chose the rings together across the miles.
They married in New Zealand. The wedding took place on top of the Queenstown Hill, as it was Silvia’s dream to have her wedding there. However, a traditional white wedding was important to both of them, so they planned their renewal to take place in Norfolk the following year at Elm Farm Country House, allowing lots of family and friends to attend this time around.
It was a dream come true as both Samantha and Silvia got to marry each other twice! The happy couple will renew their civil partnership again in Brazil next year so Silvia’s family can attend.
