Ruth and Jason met in their local pub back in May 2000. After five and half years of dating, Jason surprised Ruth on Christmas morning with an engagement ring, which she thought was a single earring at first. After laughing their heads off and turning the ring box up the right way, Jason proposed again and the family all celebrated the engagement over a huge Christmas dinner buffet.
