Nicola and Scott met through a mutual friend whilst on holiday in Ibiza. They spent 5 years getting to know each other before deciding to take their relationship to the next step and move in together. After another two and a half years Scott realised that he didn’t want to live his life with anyone else other than Nicola.
Scott proposed on his own birthday whilst the couple were holidaying in Germany. One afternoon they had journeyed to the top of the oldest lighthouse in the German coastal resort of Travemuende, but Scott was dismayed to find it full of tourists - so he put his proposal plan on hold until everyone had disappeared. Scott got down on one knee behind Nicola and when she turned around, he popped the question. Nicola answered, “If you’ll have me!” - which means that Scott is still waiting for an actual ‘yes’!!
