This newlywed couple met over 7 years ago whilst Melissa was on a girly weekend away in Newquay. A friend of Warren approached the group of girls asking for the best places to go in the town before swiftly introducing his mate to a smiling Melissa. The couple went on a date the following day and the rest, they say, is history.
Melissa had no intensions of getting married when she first started dating Warren, but after 8 months he bought her a commitment ring and after another 4 years, Warren proposed marriage. The couple had gone away for a romantic Valentines Day weekend break in 2010. After returning to their room from dinner, Melissa saw a heart, shaped with rose petals, on their bed, along with a box of chocolates and a bottle of champagne. Warren had ‘Will You Marry Me?’ iced onto a chocolate heart for Melissa to read, and as she turned around, he was down on one knee with an engagement ring.
The couple set the date for their wedding the following August, meaning that they were engaged for 2 years and 7 months before tying the knot.
