Matthias and Maria celebrated their wedding with a glamorous wedding reception at the seriously elegant Danesfield House.
The couple looked at close to 15 venues before settling on the luxury hotel. Maria and Matthias decided on a wedding colour scheme of golds, champagnes, pinks and slate blue.
The wedding menu was seriously elaborate – for each course there was a wine pairing chosen to complement the dish. The couple are serious foodies and live in a city full of amazing foods – their wedding day had to reflect that.
The tables were arranged in a long, banquet style, with tall centrepieces placed on elegant gold plinths. The wedding florist, Jay Archer, came on board just three weeks before the big day, created stunning arrangements that captivated everyone.
Rebecca, from Glimmer and Threads, was instrumental in helping the couple plan their special day and helped to transform it.
To celebrate the fact they were marrying in Britain, the bride and groom treated their guests to tins of tea and biscuits. The tea tin was custom-designed to suit their wedding day and logo and a special vanilla earl grey tea from the Republic of Tea (a friend’s tea company based just north of San Francisco) was included in the pack.
