Matthew and Lucy’s wedding ceremony took place at the elegant Horsham Registry Office. The wedding ceremony happened in the drawing room and was followed by photos in the gardens.
Lucy walked down the aisle with her father as Pachelbel’s ‘Canon in D’ played. They also had two readings during the ceremony. Someone read out Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116, and Matthew’s nana read out ‘Yes I’ll Marry You Dear’ by Pam Ayres. She also wrote her own poem in response to the Pam Ayres one, from the husband’s point of view, which added a unique twist to it.
The couple chose music that meant a lot to them, which made their ceremony even more special. When they exchanged wedding rings, Lucy had one that they’d bought but Matthew used his great-grandpa’s ring, which had been resized.
