Matthew and Lucy were flying high when they met – literally! He is a pilot and she is cabin crew, and after flying together a couple of times they arranged a date in London.
They had so much fun together they arranged a second date just two days later, and from that moment on they were inseparable. After three months of dating the couple moved in together and just two months after their second anniversary they were to New York, where Matthew proposed.
On the last day of their holiday they were walking around Central Park, and Matthew had an envelope under his arm, which Lucy didn’t think anything of. They stopped by a beautiful water feature, surrounded by snow, and Matthew got Lucy to pose for a picture. He then pulled a book out of the envelope and told Lucy it was her Christmas present.
It was a copy of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, as they both love it, and he wrote a poem inside. The ring was in the book (from Tiffany’s, obviously!) and he got down on one knee.
The excited couple spent just under a year and a half planning their dream wedding day.
