Lily and James first met when they joined the same youth organisation and shared the same induction week in Devon.
They became great friends and after a year that friendship developed into romance. For the first 16 months of their relationship they lived on opposite sides of the country to each other, with Lily in Cornwall and James in Kent.
James knew if they could endure that, they could get through anything together so after a year and a half he proposed to Lily.
They had a romantic picnic inside St Nicholas Chapel, St Ives, and James presented his bride to be with a family heirloom engagement ring.
Prior to being engaged, the excited couple had already figured out a lot of their dream wedding, so they only needed a seven month engagement to pull it all together!
