Kathy’s father walked her down the aisle of Edensor Church in Derbyshire at precisely 2pm to the ‘Arrival of the Queen of Sheba’. The ceremony was one of Kathy’s favourite parts of the day and the couple chose several light hearted hymns for their guests to sing along to, including the classic ‘Morning has broken’, ‘I vow thee to my country’ and ‘Lord of the dance’ to complete their ceremony.
The newlywed couple held their wedding reception at the first venue they viewed, Chatsworth House. They knew instantly that it was the perfect venue for them and they excitedly reserved their date. Approximately 100 guests joined Kathy and Mark during their church ceremony and breakfast and then a further 100+ guests joined them for the evening dance and party. It was fantastic to have all their friends and family in one room dancing the night away!
Their sumptuous wedding breakfast menu consisted of gravadlax of Scottish salmon for the starter and rib eye of English beef for the main. There was an intermediate course of stilton & walnut soup and the dessert was the venues exclusive “Chatsworth bakewell tart” with clotted cream, ice cream and strawberries.
