Just before their 5th anniversary in 2008 Karl told Kathryn that he had organised something special. All he said was that jeans and trainers were not allowed where they were going! After jumping into a London cab Karl said “The Ritz please!”. Kathryn couldn’t believe it. After an upgrade to a king-size room, a wonderful meal in the restaurant and a dance to a jazz band Kathryn thought that if Karl was going to propose then tonight would be the night.
With in minutes Karl told Kathryn to close her eyes as he had a present for her. When she opened them Karl was down on one knee with the ring and asked Kathryn to marry him. The engagement ring was a diamond on a white gold band that Karl chose himself and Kathryn loves it!
