Kate and Mark met at Queens’ College, Cambridge back in 1998. They were friends to begin with, but in Mark's final year, and whilst Kate was living in London, they started dating.
After 8 amazing years, Mark arranged a wonderful trip to the Lake District, with lovely accommodation in various luxury bed and breakfasts, along with picnics and long walks in the mountains. One morning Mark got Kate out of bed early to climb Catbells (a small but beautiful climb), which was totally worth it, because when they reached the top, Mark popped the question! The newly engaged couple, who now live together at their new home in London, took a trip to Cool Diamonds, based in Hatton Garden. They took their time and chose a wonderful engagement ring for Kate, who will never forget the moment Mark put the gorgeous ring on her finger.
