Three and a half years after meeting at their workplace Robert surprised Jennifer with a weekend away to Windsor. On the last night of their fun-filled mini-break, the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner for two followed by an evening stroll along the River Thames. Getting down on one knee on a jetty, Robert popped the question, presenting Jennifer with a ring inherited from his late grandmother.
Purchased in 1948 in New York City, Robert’s Grandparents were married for 50 years, meaning the antique was not only a family heirloom, but also a sentimental symbol of good luck.
Jennifer and Robert asked guests to celebrate with them by sending out beautiful aubergine and ivory wedding invitations; designed by the couple - including their custom typography - and made by a friend. As there were only day guests, evening invitations were unnecessary.
