Jennifer met Norry in 2008 after having moved from Glasgow to Dundee to pursue her PhD. Norry proposed just before Jennifer’s graduation, with an engagement ring that he’d chosen from the same shop that Jennifer’s parents had bought her mothers ring, several years before.
Norry drove to the place where the couple had met for their first date two and a half years previously. They sat on a bench overlooking the River Tay and with out anyone else around, Norry popped the question. The newly engaged couple spent that evening in their favourite restaurant, followed by a romantic walk along the river, just as they had done on their first date.
