Rob and Helen put a lot of effort into making sure their wedding ceremony was a true reflection of their relationship.
Helen walked down the aisle with her son to ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars. The couple asked two friends to do their readings – one read out ‘Maybe’ as it perfectly summed them up, and another read ‘Scaffolding’ by Seamus Heaney. Helen had studied the poet and felt like this poem summed up the strength of their relationships.
They amended their vows so they included words they say to each other all the time – no one expect that so it raised some laughs, and Helen got one of her favourite wedding photographs when Rob dropped the ring as he went to place it on her finger.
