Emma and Rich met on a night out in Kingston back in 2005. Emma was strangely attracted to Rich’s dancing and after she saw him playing an air guitar on his leg she knew that he was ‘the one’.
The couple dated for 5 years before spending a very special Christmas in Malawi where Emma’s father is based. Emma’s parents had moved to Malawi several years ago, but sadly Emma’s mother passed away in 2006. Emma's father continues to run an orphanage in Malawi, making it an obvious holiday choice for Emma and Rich every so often.
On Christmas Eve Rich took Emma into her mum’s garden for sundowners, where he produced a bottle of Champagne (carried all the way from England) and a pretty diamond ring. The noise and the laughter from the township added the perfect atmosphere to this couples very special proposal.
