Emma and James’ wedding ceremony took place in the fantastic Bellapais Abbey, Northern Cyprus. Keeping the service personal, they wrote their own ceremony and vows and lit a memorial candle to remember loved ones not with them on their day. Doing humorous and touching readings, James and his son Harry had the guests in tears!
Later, the guests explored the historical abbey before sitting down to a delicious meal on the grounds of the venue.

After meeting through mutual acquaintances, Emma and James were friends for a year before they got together as a couple. A year and half later, James proposed to Emma at one of their favourite restaurants, producing a stunning white gold ring with a pink sapphire gem. James gave the ring a lot of thought when he went to pick it; pink is Emma’s favourite colour and sapphire is her birthstone!
The couple then spent thirteen months planning their dream wedding in Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus.
Making sure those who couldn’t attend the overseas affair, Emma and James arranged a reception in their hometown of Newark, Notts. The child friendly event took place in a marquee at their local town club where the little ones could play on the bouncy castle, wear sumo suits and play giant connect 4!! Fun all round.
