Emily and Ashley celebrated their marriage with a reception at The Barn at Elsham Hall Country Park – a place they’d both visited many times growing up, meaning it was close to both their hearts.
It didn’t take them long to decide on their wedding theme – vintage summer fete! The couple wanted a carnival twist for lots of fun details and to really show off their personalities. There was an actual fete set up at the wedding, with a vintage coconut shy, tin cans and darts, as well as an ice cream bicycle cart and a photo booth. Candy floss was served in the evening and Nutty Norman was hired to amuse the children.
The décor team at Elsham Hall, Bride Beautiful, helped to bring Emily’s wedding vision to life with ivory chair covers, hessian and lace sashes and sprigs of dried lavender, which added to the vintage feel and smelt wonderful! Huge pastel balloons were the perfect centrepieces as they made the most of the high ceilings and suited the vintage feel.
As guest mingled after the ceremony they enjoyed mango mojitos and old-fashioned lemonade served in mason jars, and canapés of mini steak pies and fish and chips. For the main meal they enjoyed a sit down barbecue by Bon Appetit.
