The wedding ceremony took place at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Harpenden, where Clare had been christened when she was two weeks old.
As the couple are both musicians, music was a very important part of their day. The bride walked down the aisle with her father to the theme from Band of Brothers, played by 22 of their musical friends and conducted by their friend Steve Moss. It was so moving!
Later they had ‘One Hand, One Heart’ sang by Daisy Maywood and Louis Maskell, accompanied by their friends. They also had Dom’s dad’s choir sing ‘Love Divine’, which was written by Chris Tamberling for Dom’s parents 25th Wedding Anniversary, and “This Marriage” by Eric Whitacre, which is simply beautiful. Clare’s brother read An Apache Wedding Blessing which felt like brotherly advice and they were very touched by it. The ceremony meant so much more than the couple imagined it could, and saying their vows to each other felt incredibly special.
