Ciara and Mark met back in September of 1996 during an ice breaker game when they both attended Guildford College in Surrey. Their mutual love of films and music drew them close and they were friends for seven years before officially becoming a couple. One apartment and five years later Mark decided to take their relationship to the next step.
Mark knew that when the time was right to propose, that he’d do it in front of Ciara’s family, as he knows how much they mean to her. Whilst on holiday in Ireland as a family, Mark picked the perfect moment and bent down on one knee to pop the question. The couple chose an engagement ring together and Ciara loved the fact that her perfect ring had the word ‘forever’ engraved inside, with a feature diamond.
Ciara has a learning disability and has worked for the Mencap organisation for many years. Getting married has always meant the world to her and she was keen to plan her wedding to perfection, in the way she’d always dreamed about.
