Whilst trying to focus on a new stage in her life in February 2008, Charmaine decided to get back in touch with old friends and family members to pass the time. Her brother introduced her to facebook and Charmaine quickly learned about an app called Owned. It was through this photo related app that Charmaine and Keith connected and exchanged phone numbers. Having both recently come out of broken marriages, Keith and Charmaine were nervous about falling in love again, but this time it just felt natural.
The couple arranged to meet for a date and chatted from 1:30pm until the early hours of the evening. Everything just clicked and they were both on cloud nine! After realising their love for each other, Keith and Charmaine moved to Basingstoke in Hampshire to be together as it was more convenient for work, and their relationship.
Keith had booked a surprise trip to New York for Charmaine’s 40th birthday. Their flights were upgraded, and Keith had booked a trip for any time of day or night up the Empire State Building. Keith proposed with sentimental words inside a birthday card and Charmaine happily, and emotionally, accepted.
