Angie and Philip chose a 4 tier cake with alternate tiers of chocolate cake and vanilla sponge, covered with milk and white chocolate cigarillos.
The cake was designed by Cakes by Jackie and served along side the evening buffet. Guests were given a bag of “Midnight Munchies” to take home which had been kindly made by Angie’s mum, Lai and Philip’s mum, Joy. Each bag contained homemade petit fours and delicious chewy cookies.
Angie’s bridesmaid and best friend Sacha, made the personalised cake toppers. Designing cake toppers is only a hobby for Sacha, so she was nervous and apprehensive at the prospect of the challenge. However the cake toppers looked amazing and were extremely detailed; from Angie’s engagement ring to Philip’s gold aiguillette.
To complete the evening Angie and Philip choreographed a surprise dance to Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars, which had their guests cheering and in tears.
