Having initially met by chance at a pub in North London - Philip had been en-route to his sister’s house before car problems obstructed his journey and he ended up in a pub car park. Philip and Angie started chatting, eventually swapped numbers and had their first date in Soho with drinks by the River Thames in June 2007.
Delayed by work commitments, the couple finally set off on a long-awaited ski trip to Austria in January 2011. 2000m high and near the top of the Patscherkofel Mountain, Philip and Angie stopped for a tea break beside a lone tree. It was here that Philip got down on one knee and presented Angie with a single diamond, white gold engagement ring. A ring that had been chosen on a secret shopping trip to Hatton Garden, London, the day before leaving for Austria.
