India typically has four seasons. Winter spreads from December through to April with the colder months ranging from 10-15°C. The summer, or pre-monsoon season lasts from April to June where temperatures can average between 32 and 40 degrees. Between June and September the heaviest rains will fall; this is typically known as the peak monsoon or rainy season and Post monsoon season from October to December.
