Key honeymoon facts about Chile
When to go:
Chile is a long and narrow country which reaches from the southern tip of South America all the way up to Bolivia and Peru in the north. A climate which varies widely between one area of the nation and the next should be expected during your honeymoon in Chile. It is dry and hot in the north, while the south experiences colder temperatures and lots of rain. For a typical Mediterranean climate, visit the middle regions of Chile, where the rainy season only lasts from May until August. In general, Chile experiences four seasons: spring (September to November), summer (December to February), autumn (March to May), and winter (June to August). For those hoping to spend their honeymoon in Chile on the beach, planning ahead is essential. January and February are the two busiest months, at which time beaches are over crowded, prices are up, and reservations are required. And remember – coming from the UK, the seasons in Chile will be the opposite of what you’re accustomed to!
