If you are searching for a long haul honeymoon destination then why not consider travelling to Australia. With direct flights leaving from the UK daily you could literally be on the other side of the world within 24 hours of your wedding celebration coming to an end. Your exciting honeymoon adventure could begin on either coast of Australia in cosmopolitan cities such as Perth, Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne followed by several nights exploring the smaller towns and islands such as Noosa, Fraser island and Hervey Bay if you are interested in whale watching. If you are after a real adventure honeymoon then why not try climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, take a helicopter ride over the Sydney bay, go diving in the Great Barrier Reef, or fly over the famous Ayres rock or Uluru as named by the Aboriginals in a Hot Air Balloon. Visiting Australia for your honeymoon will provide you with hundreds of memories and wonderful photographs that you can treasure forever.
Key honeymoon facts about Australia
When to go:
Unlike the UK, Australia is a lot hotter from November to March than it is the rest of the year. Its coldest months are June and July but the temperature is nothing compared to Europe. Expect colder temperatures to drop to around 13°C during the Australian winter.
Flight Information:
There are a number of airlines that have flights travelling to Australia daily such as British Airways, Qantas Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines. It is impossible to fly to Australia directly, however why not take advantage of the stop over and visit another city before officially landing in Australia.
