• Re: please read this. It is very important...
Next Topic - Swearing. This has turned into a very emotive issue so I'll explain our point of view. We have always taken quite a light view to forum moderation and allowed lots of banter and strong opinions. This wont change. There is a swearword filter on the site that if you swear it will replace the word with something else and most people accept this or use something that rhymes. Our issue is with members bypassing these filters and using strong

  • Re: Wot? No strictly thread?

Camilla decided to leave after winning last year, it was announced not long after that. I seem to recall she thought 6 series was enough.

  • Re: Terribly ill-informed & lazy journalism on display at the Telegraph
[crap excuse] yeah, but it's so far away [/crap excuse]
I go from Edinburgh to London and back every week, it's not that far away [rofl]. That said, I wouldn't recommend visiting Edinburgh at the moment; the city centre looks like the aftermath of a Michael Bay film about giant tranforming robots thanks to the godforsaken tram works (although they did find skeletons from the old leper's hospital recently, woo hoo!). It's such a mess

Maybe if you ask Barry nicely he'll post his screencaps for you?

  • Re: Does anyone remember Point Horror books?

I loved the Babysitters Club books - Dawn was my favourite, closely followed by Claudia. I used to read them, Sweet Valley High, Sweet Dream romances and later on, a number of teen series by Katherine Applegate. Before that I was all about Enid Blyton.

  • Re: Does anyone use Liz Earle?

Bit late to this but I've been using Liz Earle since late 2005 and I really like it; I use the cleanse and polish, the normal moisturiser and the gentle exfoliator. It really improved my skin; it wasn't too bad to begin with but I get far less spots. I also like their sunscreens. Some John Lewis stores stock it if you don't fancy paying postage, although I like ordering online direct because you usually get a few samples. As someone else (sorry, cant see who) said, they do a mini kit

  • Re: John Lewis sale?

The clearance finished a few days ago, I'm not sure when the next one will be but I wouldn't have thought it would be for a while.

  • Re: So, what's changed?
Well I never knew adults go to disney without children. What on earth for?
To go on the rides of course! I have to admit I love going to DisneyWorld, it allows me to indulge the fluffy side of me that is ruthlessly kept in check by my cynical, sarcastic side for the rest of the year.

  • Re: overheard in the Natural History Museum this week

On the It's a Small World ride at Disney World last year (I didn't take my kids, mostly because I don't have any. Ditto my honeymoon at Disneyland) the boat was going through the bit of the ride vaguely devoted to the Middle East and there was a cow-like animal. The kid in front asked his mum which country in the Middle East that represented and she told him it signified Scotland.
