• Soya and female hormones

A neighbour slightly scared the poop out of me last night. She said she was very surprised that I was letting my son drink soya milk as wasn't I concerned about the female hormones and how it would affect him. Now he has soya milk on his breakfast and very rarely might have a milkshake later on in the day. I am finding it difficult to find scientific articles about it ratehr than biased articles one way or the other. Does anyone know of any sources to help me please?
I think if it was a problem it would have warnings on it.
That was my thinking too - the only warning is to not give to those under 6 months and not to be drunk in large quantities in the udner twos but with nof urther explanation as to why. He can't have dairy because he is either lacto-intolerant or milk protein allergic but because he ahd neither at the moment all the tests came back negative... Would appreciate any docs please.

  • Re: Cat owners - Teeth Question

You can't jsut go straight for it you have to gradually build up - shame the vet didn't tell you how to do it. First you have to start with cat on your lap and for a week, for ten minutes every night rub near the face. Following week rub round the face. Follwoing week finger in the mouth. Following week finger in the mouth with a bit of toothpaste on it. Then finally introduce the toothbrush. If I'd have jsut gone for it with mine I wouldn't be able to type any more. If there are
No pittabre I thought the same thing about the robinsons advert! It got to the end and I was so surprised it was for robinsons. (I haven't got father issues either if that helps!)
Glad it's not just me, I know I have skewed views on things so never sure if it is jsut me!

  • Re: Duck recipes

I know I am odd but I rarely use a sauce with duck - I think it is flavourisome on its own. I score through the fat and massage salt into it.

Oooo I hate that new Robinsons one - I thought it was going to be another child abuse one from NSPCC.

  • Re: Footlong cat colours/characters

Going back to colours affecting personalities - what is a ginger tom eprsonlaity supposed to be like? We have one and had a ginger and white one previously. Actually I've had most colours/patterns over my lifetime and never attributed personality types to their colouration/pattern. But did know about the research into taming a breed and how it changed their coat colour and physical appearance as well. Fascianting that such different things can be linked.
