Embrace I am very upset now just googled your shop and your 3 hours from me! Was nearly ringing to book, it would be so nice to try on any/most of the dresses you see and like instead of just being brought the ones the shops have in your size (which was only 3 at a shop I recently went to).
I think a 3 hour journey would be worth it to try on dresses in your own size and possibly find The One! You could perhaps get any alterations
Yay great news! (I hope you don't get lynched by other HIB'S for this post)
Funky it wouldnt be the first time! Ive had numerous discussion about plus sized gowns before but with 80 brides in 10 months I think I must be doing something right! Thank you lovely ladies for your feedback, I dont think ive ever been told I ROCK before but it really made my day. Keep an eye out for the pics of the gowns as they arrive although I am seriously considering
You ROCK!!! I haven't been to try anyting on yet (wedding not till next summer), but the thought of trying sample sizes that don't fit is sending shudders down my ample body! I'm up north but rest assured if I'm ever in your area I'll be down like a shot to your shop! Love your work!
Thank you Spenerella (love the name by the way). I know you said your "up north", but not sure where. However there is another specialist that

You know those kind of days that stick in your memory forever..... Last week I received an email from Pronovias asking if I would be interested in stocking their gowns in plus sizes. They acknowledge that there are a vast number of ladies out there, over a size 16, who are missing out on their fabulous gowns simply because shops dont hold samples in their sizes. Now those of you who know me recognise my one woman campaign to bring beautiful dresses to the fuller figured lady so of course I said yes
Congratulations Embrace!! I think a lot of ladies will be happy to hear that as their dresses are beautiful, I went to the Bond Street store and they only stock 10s as sample sizes and for a girl with my dimensions who wants a fish tail dress it wasn't quite going to fit, so like I said that great to hear I'll be recommending you and enjoy the trip to Spain!
Thank you so much Cherrybloom! I will be drinking a glass of champagne (or possibly even

Ive seen these at wedding fayres and they can look stunning on the right figure. As someone else said though the selling point that "they suit all figures" isnt entirely true. Ive had 2 very upset bridesmaids in the shop before (different wedding parties) who have been a size 16 and 20. They really do not flatter the fuller figured ladies, mainly because the extra fabric usually ends up being tied round the waist and thats not what you want extra inches

Firstly welcome to Hitched, you will find all sorts of interesting stuff on here. Some of it will be very useful, some will make you smile and some will make you realise that whatever your feeling your really not alone. To answer your initial question, I have brides who already have their dresses for weddings in November/December next year and others who have just been in to get something off the peg as they get married in 4-5 weeks. When I got married the 2nd time I was a size 16 (now a 20!) and

The pictures say it all. On the left if what the bride thought she would buying, on the right is a picture of her in what turned up. Just exercise caution if you go down that route but I would always encourage brides to visit a sample sale first as you can try on the dresses before you actually buy them. Out of 70 brides ive only ever had 1 who bought exactly what she came in for and that was because she wanted and aubergine dress and she got married in less than 2 weeks! Its not just about liking

I already have 14 wedding dresses ordered for next year, the latest being last week November 2014. If you have found "The" dress then ordering now means you have more time to save and pay for it.
Although if you end up buying two that's £300 that you could have spent on a lovely proper dress! Just saying..
This! Another thing to consider though is out of 68 brides ive only ever had 1 come into the shop and gone out again with EXACTLY what she came in for and this was all due to the fact that she got married in 10 days time and wanted a purple dress! I had one in the shop and even though it was a size too small we managed to alter it and she
