I sold my pram on e*bay last sunday and have not received any communication from the buyer (It was collection only).  I am being unreasonable to think they should have paid/ arranged pick up by now??

Also, the sale is valid for a second chance offer (not sure what this is, but think someone else bid just at the last moment). Would you report a problem with the original buyer and then try the other bidder?

    Thanks.

I'd email the buyer and say if you haven't heard anything by 3pm tomorrow (state monday) then you will be contacting Ebay to report him / her as a non paying winner.

Report first then offer 2nd chance to next highest bidder!

The buyer should at least have contacted you by now to make arrangements. I'd send them one last email giving them a deadline to respond by otherwise file a non-paying bidder report with ebay and then offer it to the second chance bidder. Good luck!

I'd be miffed, but under Ebay terms they have 7 days (I believe) to make payment, so I definitely wouldn't contact the next bidder yet as the first can leave you neg feedback regardless abd you can't reciprocate!

They could be on holiday for a week?  May have thought they could get internet access and can't.  Hopefully they will be in touch soon.

I have sent the email chasing payment so will wait to see what happens. Have just read that I can't report it as not paid for 7 days - thanks. As on myebay it says that the item is eligible for a second chance offer I guess I could have done this anyway although I have never seen it before so not sure what it means.  There was one bid for most of the listing period and then it got 2 bids (a new bidder and then the original bidder again) just before the listing ended - I guess this sercond chance offer is some way of going to the other bidder to see if they have a higher offer?

A second chance offer basically just gives you the option of offering the item to the second highest bidder if the first bidder doesn't pay. Their bid will be less than the winning bidder's though so unfortunately if you go with them you won't receive as much for it but it's better than the item not selling. If you offer it to them they can choose whether to accept or reject your offer.

Not exactly...if you did that,  you'd get a bit of a ticking off from Ebay! It's just there in case the winner changes their mind / doesn't pay / misread the terms and can't collect / whatever really...but you can only offer it to the next bidder at the price they originally bid. So if you happened to have a 2nd one, or if they come back to you saying they don't want it...you can do the Second Chance offer. If you immediately did it before giving them a chance to pay, the original buyer could report you AND leave you negative feedback.

They might not get on as regularly as most of us Hitchers seem to...or maybe their pc is broken...
