  Do you enjoy your job?

  Contact I was thinking about this at work last night. I do enjoy what I have to do in my job, I just hate the long unsociable hours. If I could work my job Monday - Friday 9-5 I would be very happy, although I know that's not possible. I count down the days to my day off and hate going back and just wondered if this was normal?!  Do some of you actually enjoy your job and look forward to going to work?

  Contact I don't look forward to going to work - I don't think I ever would, whatever the job really. That said, when I'm here I tend to moan about it but when I take a step back to think about it I realise that it's a good job and compared to some of my previous horrors - this one is perfect! It's not really my chosen career path though, I've just sort of drifted into it after uni. Now I feel like I need to knuckle down and just get on with things so I'm studyng for a qualification in the area that I work in now but I don't think it will ever be my 'dream' occupation.

  Contact i dont look forward to work, but like my job.  Like HT, compared to the last one working for RBS, this is paradise!! I get to manage my won time, do my own things, dont need to answer to anyone really and get to organise fun stuff for the staff!!  Plus being the only girl under 40 is a help as i get away with alot !!   Denial has turned to ignorance and sheer panic..... The bearded one with the stuttering computer.

I actually just dislike working for someone else, I think ideally I would like to set up my own business, but I don't know what I'd like to do.  I dread going back after the weekend and holidays, but once I'm there it's not that bad,

  Contact My job itself is ok... very numbers driven which sometimes stifles my creative streak but I overcome that in my free time... Retail is difficult at the moment and everything is very uncertain, currently deciding whether to become qualified in my current field or not... My team are great though and we have a laugh. I would say I really really enjoy my job, I never wake up and feel that I don't want to go to work, I have no pressures I get paid quite well for what I do, it's ever so flexible and most imprtantly we have a laugh, but I think that comes with working with all men. I don't miss working with women, I have in the past and had som eawful experiences.  Some fecking evil women out there!   24/07/11 = the happiest day of my life

  Contact I don't love my job but I do like it very much, and have never dreaded going in...unless I know that I have a particularly boring meeting which occurs once a quarter. I don't think I will ever love it as I don't have a passion for finance. I loved restaurant work when I done it as i have a passion for food, wine, and making sure that people are happy...but the hours, pay, opportunities, etc. made it impossible for me to stick around.

  Contact I would love it more if I got paid for what I now actually do. I started as a basic administrator for another team. I am now PA to someone who is a Regional director for one team and is also Ops Director for another. I also look after 2 ops teams and a million sites. I have a blackberry and am on call far more than I should be. I travel out of the office whenever it is required. I do enjoy all this. One of the basic admin people I know get paid more than me and I do not think it is fair. I have tried talking to the right people but it has fallen on deaf ears. I am pulling together a case that I can give to my boss and HR to get it sorted. 3rd place in 2012 hitched awards - Best flowers! Whoop! From Miss W to Mrs S - 10.09.11
