All things rustic

Storky, 3 of February of 2011 at 13:08 Posted on Planning 0 21

Just after some ideas to make my tables look nice!

We've got a fairly rustic theme and so have been thinking hessian runners, candelabra, candles, lace, lots of white flowers etc. We will have round tables but an oval top table. Would normal runners work on a round table?

Venue is a converted barn.

Thanks is advance!

Hessian would look fab, I can get a fabric that is similar to hessian but comes in a variety of colours that can be used as runners.

There are so many ideas for your theme:

    Oooh, lovely!

I really like the hessian style runners but then I love the look of crisp white tables. Decisions, decisions. I'm going to have these instead of name cards so I don't want it to look too dark, just pretty and rustic.

I'd love something like this ontop of our napkins - but it just doesn't work with our theme.

Think these are very cute too:

I think these are also mega cute, they don't fit in with out theme but My Mother is going to have some in her garden where we will have some getting ready photos:

Love, love, love your ideas CB, are you in my head?!

I love Hessian, we're having white tablecloths with a hessian runner. My men's favours (Homemade jam) will be topped with the same hessian tied on with rafia or brown strong.

Thanks, ladies! Nat, we're serving homemade limoncello between courses and they'll be served in bottle like these:

You could stamp your initials/wedding date onto the hessian like old wine boxes?

Would look fab on round tables I think...

    I'll be honest - I love it all. (lickar$e)

I am vay jealous of the peonies - I couldn't have them as they were out of season. I think hessian will look really nice on the tables although I think just plain white linen with the scrabble tile holders and some hessian style/rustic ribbon around the napkins would look just as fab.

Less is more! I'd only go for the runner if you're having square/rectangular tables. Not a fan of runners on round tables (just my opinion though..) but different horses for courses! I love the look of the rosemary on the napkins.

Here are a few flashes of what i am adding for the rustic feel, to our Winter Woodland themed wedding:

These are the bases for the Table names, they will have a twig in them with name hanging from it:

Ooh love that, I've never tried Limoncello! I'm going to do similar on my candle jars.

I'll add a few things from my inspiration folder:

Sorry about the size of some, they're straight from my desktop.

JAM JARS!!! What a fab idea for table decs.... heres me wigging out over the cost of hiring storm lanterns when my recycling box is full of a free alternative. I like the mix of candles and flowers. Superb. We are getting married in a barn so this will be perfect! Need to go and see my florist again!

CB - have you seen Style Me Pretty over the last couple of days? There's a Santa Barbara wedding on there that has a really rustic feel - very pretty indeed.
